I have a K&N intake installed and I love it. It sounds great, she breaths so much better and gas mileage went up because of it.

Well I think mine went up. I was losing a lot of mileage from a bad o2 sencer and so maybe they both helped.

Do you get the "swoosh" while driving at normal speeds and shifting normal? Cuz I have the aem cai and I'm still getting used to hearing it swoosh when I'm barely driving lol

I never noticed any increase in gas mileage when I installed mine. I get the same mileage as before.

I thought if fuel trims were off by 17% the check engine light will pop on.

So far I haven't got any CEL's with mine. Be careful with the term 'upside down' because when people say that they mean turn the K&N logo upside down. The metal bracket on the filter should be around the 11 oclock position.

im going to check the position of mine today after work. i know the K&N logo is up side down.

the metal bracket you speak of is where the screen on the filter was molded together to make a circle..right?

What will the fuel trims really do if there off a little? I've been running my aem cai with no codes and drives perfectly fine For about 2weeks now

I had to take my amsoil filter off. Through a bunch of cels and got tired of it. Put the k&n filter on and while it isn't as loud it deff runs better. I still through a cel tonight though. My rpms seem to come down a little slow though and im wondering if it's my forge. I have the green spring in it right now.

just got mine on, ran into a problem where the bolt that secures the intake from moving and going into the block, the head of the bolt snapped off, k&n is sending me a new one but other than that im extremely happy with this intake!

Did you use the wrong bolt, bottom it out, then keep tightening?

thats weird. oh well atleast they are sending you a new one.

the intake is so secure. like it wont move or rattle or anything.

i still cant believe how much louder the turbo is. with the stock intake you barely hear it but with the K&N holy ****. so damn loud.

im getting the same gas mileage as before when i had the stock intake. so in theory when i get over hearing the BPV every shift lol it should get better

I took my intake off, that is to annoying hearing my car spool and bpv balve blowing up while shifting at 2,500 rpms and not in boost. Annoys the hell out of me, I love the sound but not 24/7 so now I might do the air box mod with zzp elbow to get a little bitof sound

So does anyone know why turning the filter upside down makes a difference? Just kinda curious and not only that but does it really work because I installed mine about a week ago and my CEL came on yesterday so seeing that this whole filter thing is news to me I've gotta assume that's my problem
