I just did mine last August lol. It’s. A fun job for sure. And that sounds like mine, grinds 1-3 then fluid circulates and it’s fine.

Try to double clutch to prevent grinding. Mine will grind going into 5th when it's really cold if I don't double clutch into that gear.
