Found this on RLF's. Looking good so far. Probably just a reflash too.

hopefully it is cheap if its just a reflash

hawlyns711 10-31-2007 12:16 PM

RLF FTW! looks like it's going to be a beast with some mods tho

DaREDss 10-31-2007 12:16 PM

That kit, with FWD + boltons will probably see 300whp. But I hate using ricer math. Then again if you listen to the video, they claim 310 ft/tq.

RuSSo-29 10-31-2007 12:22 PM

Very interesting. Seems that turbo still had a lil more room past 260hp.

keep in mind that the 260 rating is good for 228-230 to the wheels on the solstice...so speaking from a solstice/sky view, which is the ONLY way you can view considering the lnf cobi isnt out (no dyno results...theres gonna be less lost through components)...id say you are looking at 260-270 to the wheels with that. which is noice.

oh, and that post from that dude who got 18+ to the wheels with exhaust..id say with full bolt-ons...you might be creeping around 300.

"nice"

OniMirage 10-31-2007 12:26 PM

im excited and pissed off at the same time.

SilverSS/SC 10-31-2007 05:07 PM

The staged kits should be interesting . Ive read a few engineering articles on the LNF , GM has said they are holding back at its 260/260 in stock form and could push it past 300 hp rather easily .

Guess well see .

OniMirage 10-31-2007 05:09 PM

cameron is texting me right now to see if the lnf will have a stage2 kit for the coby right away when the car is released. he asked initially but was givin very vague information on it.

Onyxd04Redline 10-31-2007 05:20 PM

The only reflash available is via hahn and it's a thousand dollars. Hopefully it'll come down

Brandon97Z 10-31-2007 05:23 PM

I bet once HPtuners comes out the price will def go down but at that point you'd be better of getting HPtuners anyways.

Yeah, I know!!! I talked to him about that too!!

Fastest lap on PGR, out of how many thousand people!?! His time was also 3.5 seconds faster than second place!

"They are being almost military about the info they give." -Cameron

Kinda sux. Looks like we will probably have to wait until they announce it officially for the Sol/Sky in 4-6 months. :thumbsdow

EDIT: This just in from Cameron and the GM Rep at SEMA- "The Stage 2 will include 2 new pressure sensors and a computer recalibration."

Sounds like it will be fairly cheap. How cool would it be to have 260whp and still get 30mpg!!

 It's pretty nice actually. I get 34.8 mpg on the highway in my car with the mods in my sig. 281whp

Damn!! That's what my 2.2L gets at 70mph on the freeway!! :cussing: And I have half that whp!!!:cussing:

It will be so nice to trade in for a car with some actual power.

brentil 11-01-2007 04:28 PM

I can get ~30 mpg doing 70 mph on the highway in my Solstice with the top down. That's with the 3" exhaust. If for some stupid reason I actually drove 55 mph on the highway several of us have recorded mid to high 30 mpg (34~38) at that speed. My car already has a horrible coefficient of drag with the top up, top down it's like a giant parachute (all Roadsters are pretty much). Cobalt has a much lower coefficient and FWD so it should get better fuel economy than I can.

Blown 4-banger 11-01-2007 10:03 PM

Must be a typo, cause I was talking to one of the guys in the GM booth at SEMA today, and he said there is only going to be one kit, something like new pressure sensor(s) and a computer recalibration. He did say it was going to be 290 hp, AND would be covered by warrenty. He said the stage kit should be released shortly after the LNF balt goes on sale.
