Looking for advices concerning the fuel

Hi all,
I'm thinking to start using the E-85. Do you guys think it's a good idea? Is it worth it as far as power gain? If yes, according to the mods I have (listed on my sig), do I need to change or add something?
Thank you guys all.
Christian

you would be fine there are a few guys on here running E some will tell you to run E47 which is e85 with a mix of 91 or 93 depending which is avail to you, also helps gas mileage better the str8 E, and there are lots of guys on here that can tune you via HP tuners to run E with your mods you should see some gains. quite sure others will chime in, this has been discussed alot search the threads for the links or your asking for your asshole to be blown up!!!

Ahahahahah ok. I just wasn't thinking that many people would ask for that, but I want to know about it just because the mods I have may be different from those that are running the E85

I run E47.(50/50 mix of E85 and 91 octane).Running full E85 is great but you gas mileage is terrible. My balt is my DD so I need decent mileage. With E47,you get the timing properties of full E85,but get way better mileage than running full E85.And it is a HUGE difference from only 91 to going E47.I would do it

Thank you. What do you mean the gas mileage is terrible? How bad is it? Something like 15/20 mpg? Also, where should I go to retune it for the E? Trifecta?

I would find someone really reputable with HPT.And gas mileage will vary since everyone's iron foot weighs different lol.My supercharged 2.2L get's about 18 combined but if I cruise and stay out of boost,I can see about 23ish...maybe....I never cruise it:lol:.I know I get 26 cruising @ 70mph on the freeway.

Well, not bad if it's worth it the gain.

Extremely worth the gain IMO.I went back to full 91 about a month ago and it was a complete gutless dog. She's running strong back on E47 now :D

I wouldn't do it on a daily-driver, Ayrton. It's just too much of a PITA to find pumps.

That's was I was thinking, but I have another SS/TC that I wanted to sell, but I am changing my mind and I was thinking to build one for the extreme and leave the other one with just the bolts-on for DD

I run E-47 in mine, and it's not my DD. It's fine, as long as you don't have to use it everyday.
