Why the HKS? it sounds like a dying quail underneath the hood.

On a more serious note, I've not seen an HKS BOV function cleanly in low boost/vacuum. Those things seem to always cause the turbo to flutter in low boost and vacuum situations. I'm sure part of it may be related to owner operation/set up but still.

The biggest reason I went with the synchronic is it's run by the PCM. Straight out of the box, once its hooked up it works flawless. Literally works just as well as the factory recirc valve. Holds boost pressures up to 100 psi and does not need spring replacements. It might not be the best sounding BOV out there but it damn sure functions extremely well.

But hey, the above is just my opinion and others see it differently. It's your car so enjoy it and get what you like.

I'm kind of curious how he can't get a loan for only 3500 from a bank, no credit? I had no problem getting a small loan when I picked up my 2004 IRL.

He is going today, I do not think he has ever done it before.
Also, idk his bank, but with mine there are limits. My bank was 5 years and less than 70k.

Update:

Last night Supacharged06, Miss BlackSSstg2, and I got the transmission back in the car. Couple things, 1.) The clutch tool KY Clutch sends out is a piece of **** that cause a huge head ache. The plunger portion of it is too small to fit in the end of the crank snugly. This resulted in about 1/4" of play in the clutch disc and pressure plate before you clamp it down. Due to the the clutch disc ended up not aligned and after about 4 tries of getting the trans in I realized this. I had to eye ball the install of the clutch disc to get it center. 2.) Having a third person makes this so much easier. lol.

Along with the transmission being it, so is the subframe, OTTP clutch line, and new LCA's. Sadly the car will not be driving anywhere this week. Mongo must have grabbed the wrong part because I discovered he sent me a LSJ hub and not the LNF one.

Lastly, ZZP lower charge pipe is a piece of ****. It does not line up, at all. The intercooler end is almost an inch passed the intercooler outlet and the curvature is all wrong. The MAP sensor hole is the wrong size. I have to bore out the MAP sensor hole to get it in only to get the pipe on the car to find out that hooking it up is going to be likely impossible. I am going to try to work on it a little more, but in the end I will likely just get one from Josh @ OTTP instead. Putting this ZZP pipe next to the OEM LCP even shows the issues before install.

Most of the car is back together. I need some new bolts though:
-Couple engine to trans bolts
-Ball Joint pinch bolt
-Rear Trans mount to Transmission bolts
-Front Trans mount to Transmission bolts

If anyone can help me on out the bolts that would be awesome! Previous owner must have lost some bolts when he worked on it because he had several in the wrong spots and the rest were just not there at all.

The cold side has a cheap screw clamp that attaches the pipe to the intercooler. The elbow piece is flimsy as all get out and is easy to detach. If you have access to a lift, jack stands or ramp, you don't even need to pull the bumper off unless you're replacing the intercooler.

Two clamps, sensor and vacuum line is all there is to it.

Yea but with so many people here with parts cars I figured I can just grab them from one of them instead.

Idk why zzp isn't fixing that lower charge pipe, I sent them an email about it and they said they would have a look and fix it. Guess that didn't happen. They need more people complaining I guess before they get the picture. Do what I did, buy a 90 degree coupler, cut the bloody 90 degree section of the pipe off and make it work how it should.

Good idea. I'm going to do that. It's 2.5" at that part right?

As for why they won't fix it, no idea. I bought the pipe second hand so I doubt they'll even consider doing anything for me. I'm buying a coupler to do it your way and I'll get the OTTP lower in the future.

I'm actually tempted to make one from silicone intakes dot com since they'll hold the boost and I have some flexibility for alignment

That's where I am about to buy the 90 degree coupler. It's 2.5" right?

Coupler bought. Should be here Monday or Tuesday.
Waiting on mongo to send me the correct hub and some bolts to replace the handful that were just straight missing.

All goes well and I should be driving it by Thursday.

Found a guy to weld aluminum as well so I need to pick up the BOV flange to weld into my pipes.

Sorry to hear about all the issues you've been having with your LNF. Bought mine over 2 years ago with 63k and now it has 89k and haven't had any major issues at all. Hope everything works out.
