I don't like it, they put the screen in a really awkward location. It would have been cool, if they did like everyone else and put on the screen of the stereo system... Which would mean that we'd have to get touch screen stereos like everyone else too...

I'd rather have an interceptor or two, they look nicer and less retarded.

The interceptor is useless in sun, especially if you wear polarized sunglasses. Honestly, I hardly look at mine. It's good for the shift/warning light setting. Otherwise, I use my laptop for everything important.

edit: OP, go get a dashdaq if you really must have something whizbang.

RPD is terrible at reading knock, don't know why... It just is.

But honestly, I use my RPD mostly for the head's up speedometer, except at the track or when I don't care about how fast I'm going. It's always nice to know IAT's if you are running the car hard as well.

Of course that's all accessible on HPTuners, which is conveniently on my laptop in the passenger seat.

It was an option in '09 and on all 2010 models.

me too, 09 sedan here. RPD was never an option and I don't really care for it. I like the traditional analog boost guage. There's a special joy in making that needle go clockwise

some of the RPD stuff is retarded but for the most part i like it... it'd be nice if i could reprogram it to show the info i wanted all the time tho... like air pressure, fuel pressure, intake temp boost and timing retard and a/f all as numbers... the guage is pretty much useless to me, when i log in HPTuners i dont even use the gauge layout, i use the big table lol

True. But with the rpd it is there all the time and you do not have to plug in a scanner when you want to see what the car is doing. And im not too savvy with the scanners but i would bet that they cant read the g-forces and they definitely dont give you a shift light

Wait. You want something this bad, but don't want to put the effort in to get one?

Seriously, **** or get off the pot.

me too, 09 sedan here. RPD was never an option and I don't really care for it.
Thats 110% NOT TRUE. My dealership could promise me one in 09 but I had to wait 3 more months due to back order so I said fk it. They then offered to charge me for the option and have it installed after the fact. I think you just didn't do you homework. If you wanted one back in 09, you could get one, it was just a matter of playing the waiting game.

I guess you were one of the ones who believed them when they said "Golly gee, I just can't seem to find the option code for one of the key new features of this car thats in the brochure..."

They just wanted to make a sale ASAP. GM was taking the **** back then.

No, what he said was he had an 09 SEDAN SS. They were never an option to get an RPD. I don't see how the dealer could install an RPD if the A-pillar from the coupe wouldnt even fit a sedan. Did the dealer fabricate you a special RPD A-pillar for your sedan? If so, please cast it and send a mold to ZZP so they can make copies. (I dont think it would sell though since nobody really cares to put an RPD in a sedan SS.)

^^^^This^^^^

If RPD was an option on the sedan I would have gotten it, however it was not and never was an option on the sedan. The A pillar is diferent on the sedan than the coupe, if your dealership said they were ordering you one they were bull shitting you!
