It was my first time racing a stick again. I went to SacRaceway and Managed to pull

14.4 Quarter mile
103 MPH
i was NLS and when i hit second the car bogged everytime??? any suggestions???

I'd say its actually shifting too late. I had the same problem when I would try to shift out of first at 6000rpm...I lowered my 1-2 shift point to 5700-5800rpm and the bog went away.
I had the same issue. Ended up NOT NLSing and still ran a 14.4 @ 103 twice. Tuned it and ran a 13.8 @ the same 103 with more bogging. I'm gonna have to start practicing the NLS I suppose.
I would agree that the 1-2 shift has to be done earlier though. The few times I've tried it on the street, that seemed to work.

yes i ran two passes at 14.4 and both times i bogged into 2nd gear!
I was shifting around 6K i will try to shift earlier next time and see what happens.
Also there seemed to be a lot of engine movement when i hit 2nd gear is there anything to control this?
one other thing i wanted to add! My friend has a 2001 Camaro SS and stock he ran a 12.9 1/4 mile. his car is quick! He was hating on me because i got the Cobalt SS. he went with me to the track he drove his own car. afterwards we were on our way home its a 11pm at night and about 63 degrees outside. He gets next to me and i hear him down shift to second gear so i do the same and im in the sweet spot! I nail it on the third honk and bam im gone by one full car length then i left off! he was like man let me drive your car around the block......i was like hell no! point of the story i guess is i showed him!!!!

X2 on the Shifting to late... when i tuned mine i set the fuel cut off to 6800rpms and the the rev limiter 6500 rpms' but i still shift at 5900 - 6K.. i dont have an issue with bogging anymore ...
Hitting the NLS from 1st to 2nd is such a pain in the butt. It has to be perrrrrrrrfect. I just gave up on hitting it. I hit it every time from 2nd to 3rd though. My fastest untuned was a 14.5 and with a partially done tune was 14.4. Vince from Trifecta has done a few updates now and will probably do some more. The high altitude here is just giving him a hard time lol.

We are probably gonna go the 12th for wednesday night drags. I went to it a few days ago and ran a 14.3 @ 99mph with bogging off the start. My tuner and I can't exactly figure out why it bogs when I try to launch
