No console in ss not anymore
 

Well our wounderfull ss cobalts dont come with the center console so i ordered one i got it for $60 canadian cause im a gm employee haha welp heres the pics im glad i got it still got the 2 cup holders in the rear and ebrake doesnt hit console when used and more storage:cool:

wait you guys got center consoles from teh factory? i thought you could get them only as an option?

mine didnt come factory i bought it after i owned my car for about 2 months

It comes in handy on long trips.. just get in the way for other things. Put something in it.. it rattles. Idk. Just not my cup of tea.

if it'a ANYTHING like the IRL center it should just bolt right up.. i bolted up a console with storage in my IRL.. was a factory GM part but not an option..

anyone know if its a direct bolt and does anyone have a part number?

Yes it is direct bolt in, and I'm sure you can find the part number around here or online somewhere...

The SS/SC and SS/TC did not come with the center console unless you bought the part afterwards and (had it) installed.

According to GMPP Techs it was because the car was "performance oriented" and the console "could" get in the way during spirited/track driving; and if you wanted it, you had to buy it separate.

i got one from a junkyard along with a FULL black interior (seats, dash pcs,) EVERYTHING for150$ a while back and its the best money ever spent on the car hahahaha...
