I used to have a G8 GT. Good luck getting parts from Australia with Holden discontinuing the Commodore. The FE3 shocks from the GXP model have already been discontinued for over a year. The G8 V6 ate timing chains and the G8 GT ate lifters. Mine ticked and sounded like a diesel at only 25k miles. Stil a fun car. And yes, I replaced the lifers and cam before I sold as to not screw over the next guy.

Thanks for the info. The G8 is gone so it doesn't matter. None of that surprises me though. From my experiences most of the vehicles made in the last 20 years are cheap built crap. They all seem to have issues to cause their early demise.

that's exactly the way they plan it, designed so u keep having to buy new ones
