Have them chromed ...... Chrome wheels on Imp. Blue is sexy.
This is what I'm planning for mine in over the winter. Images courtesy of GTPprix

Or you can go black chrome like this guy in this thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...=chrome+wheels

See thats whats tough, nobody has any pictures of painted/powdercoated/chromed stock SS/TC wheels on an Imperial blue SS. I wish there were some examples out there because I think the powdercoating looks great on all the other color cars, but its hard to guess what itll look like on the imperial blue.
I tried photoshopping it a bunch of times, but I suck at that and it looked stupid

right now mine are rattlecanned gloss black. Taking autobody classes, and I have the chance to work on my own stuff in the paint booth. Gonna be sanding all the black off today, shooting with etch prime tomorrow, then thursday gonna be repainting black with gold pearl in the clear. going to be doing that to every thing black on my car. makes it look black but when the sun hits it it has alot of pearl in it and looks more bronze. So far my front lip is done like this

^cell phone pic, but you get the idea.
the rattle can job is holding up suprisingly well. only chips are from changing tires, new tires dont have that protective curb rash lip the OEM tire had, which left a silver ring around the rim where the paint never got to with the other tire on, had to go around them with a touch up brush but other then that, they look amazing for duplicolor

Wow man that's going to look amazing. My dad does fabrication and powdercoating for a company that makes 8 wheel ATVs and I'm gonna see what kind of powder he can get me. I want to do something different than the standard black. It'll take some thinking, but I should be able to come up with something.
picked up my paint today from carquest, got a pint of black that gets reduced 1-1 so that should be enough, left the rattle can paint on the rims but scuffed it up real good and did a little test with medium reducer to see if it wrinkled, it didnt, but it did start coming off. since im painting black over it im not worried about it bleeding into the color or anything as its the same damn color. but the carquest guy gave me the gold pearl i need, black, and reducer for 28 bucks. thats one hell of a deal. im exited! already have the clear and hardner so that cut the price in half
That sound like it's gonna be awesome. I know this probably goes without saying but you should post some pics when you're finished. Casey (09turbo) did his to where they are almost gunmetal inside but when a good light hits them they are bronze and it looks good on his black one. I bet this will look awesome too with the gold pearl.
i will, i took some better pics of my fron tlip with my real camera, putting up a x-mas tree so ill get on that in a bit lol

Paint is paint, sole purpose is to protect and make it asthetically pleasing. I would much rather "ruin" a new set of rims by making them more asthetically pleasing to myself then to pull too close to the drive through and scratch the **** outta one and ruin it
