Where do you guys find these auto body classes? Ive looked around and cant find anything. Id love to take some. I have a little experience in body work, I had helped the guy that did my Vette. He was a friend of my fathers, so he gave me a good deal, but I did most of the crap work....DA sanding, wet sanding etc... He taught me as we went, but Id love to take some classes. Id like to learn how to mess around with fiberglass....

I just cant find any classes.

This makes no sense.

Those are gonna look soo good when you get em on the car. You got anything else planned for them (ie pinstripe, colored lug nuts, etc.) or is this gonna be it?

I dunno? I wanna get colored lugz, maybe yellow or something, i tried spraybombing them once, but as soon as you get the socket on it fuckes it all sorts of up, so i need to buy some colored ones but not sure on the color. right now im just concentrating on getting the gold pearl in my highrise and all my mesh grills and grill bar, and front chevy logo. should be able to do all those as once this thursday. gotta rush as next friday is the end of class

The way I figure it is if you powdercoat the lugz it should hold up to sockets pretty well. That stuff is pretty tough. The trick is gonna be finding a powder that is the same color as your body. As far as the highrise goes do you have two different trunks lids or did you just plug the holes and you are just going to unplug them and put the wing back on?

just plugged the holes with spraybombed yellow clips, similair to the ones that hold your trunk mat in, just sanded smooth with clear silicone holding them in and sealing water out.

Picked the car up and put the wheels on, didnt get center caps on since i forgot them at home, but dont know if i wanna leave silver, or paint the center cap to match the rim. what you think? i can get a yellow vinyl to put on as the chevy symbol
gonna have to wait to see what they look like in the sun tomorrow, but heres a teaser shot:

those are sick man. If you didnt already have it i'd totally figure it out for powdercoating and do it. I talked to my dad today and he said he can get me into a facility that does a weekend class and he know the guy so he can get my wheels in as the demo piece. Anyway as for your center caps i'm not really sure but silver would just look weird.

Just saying, if the wheels end up anywhere near as bad as your front lip, with the uneven metal-flake build-up on the edges, then they're ruined.

they should last just as good since theres etch prime under the black that was there. We were discussing if it should all be taken off and he said it was unnecessary. i had all intentions of sanding black off but he stopped me and looked em over. we did some adhesion tests on it and it seemed to hold up just fine.

lmao, yes, i guess your correct. it must look very uneven from my camera pictures where i am standing on the right side of the car, where the sun is glaring on the right side of the lip so i can show how the pearl looks. the pearl is even nice try on being a jackass, but you fail. I assume your just a generally angry person b/c no1 likes you in the real world. Or you have an incredibly large sized cucumber on your computer chair cramming up your ass when you type.

Let me just wait patiently for your next attempt at a "sick burn."

I've been looking for a place for a while to get my wheels painted/powdercoated in NJ. I'm thinking of just like a satin or matte black, but I'm not too sure. A like black with some pearl in it would be kind of cool.

I did mine flat black with a rattle can and 1 year later they look very good still. I need to touch up a couple areas that I did not coat well enough to begin with but other than that not bad for the $12 it cost me to paint them.

Except when you remount the tires you risk scuffing that nice new paint. Those stiff low pro tires do not like to just slide right on.

Exactly, my rattlecanned job held up pretty awsome. Never fucked up when i got my tires changed, but it did expose the lip underneath the OEM tire that was silver. Never even cleared them bitches.

painting this color is costing me about $40-60 in materials but it is covering wheels, front lip, front 2 grills, grill bar, and Highrise, and possibly adding some pearl to the taillight tint just so its not the only plain black thing left on the car. cant really beat that, there are ways to put tires on rims without ****** the rim up, and if you know some1 that works at a tire shop theyll be careful for ya. but im not as **** about minor imperfections as some people. its a cobalt

Dude, I don't have to burn you. You drive a yellow car. There's nothing more I could say.

The wheels look okay, but they won't last. You're a typical ricer teenager. 5 years from now, you'll realize how stupid you were when you did dumb **** like painting your wheels. Have fun on your next tire change.
