Ported Intake Manifold

Got my Throttle Body and Intake Manifold ported and polished today, waiting for Valve Cover and Intake Mani to be painted and getting the car back tomorrow. Excited. But what power gains do you think? Thanks to SGM Tuning Concepts (my buddy scott)

It will help some. Probably in throttle response and spool time.

It's easy to pull and 8hp is more than the other guys. It's worth it to me

Easy is a relative term. I was actually referring to the actual porting. That seems like it would take lots of time to do right.

Yup. You can pull vavle cover in about 5-10 min and intake manifold maybe 10-15 min. It can be tricky getting out of there

Sounds like the shop played with the dyno settings to justify the price of porting to the owner. What car was this? 10whp i could see but 30whp umm no. They play with the tune as well?

Intake probably did a good bit of the gains because of freeing up the intake side of the turbo, and it probably skewed the fuel trims lean too.

theres not a ton to port in there.. just smooth everything out. thats the biggest gain imho. the exhaust manifold its worth the trouble one bit as its damn near close to being gasket matched already
