Powdercoated Valve Cover

Here's a preview pic. Had it done by a local powdercoating shop.

What do you think?

I'm going to install it when the weather warms up.

Awesome. The red is perfect.

Black?? Why even paint it at all. Everything under every hood is black anyway.

Hey, I noticed your from Brampton too. I'm going to be offsetting the red with other black parts and/or polished aluminum parts. This is just the starting point.

I got this hook up from a shop in Peterborough. The day the receive the part, it gets prepped and coated. A brand new part as with mine, 2 days it's done and ready to ship back to me.

I would expect that as long as you have the valve cover cleaned up, your turn around time would be the same. You could probably go there drop it off and pick it up since your closer to Peterborough than I am.

If you don't damage the existing gasket and it looks like it's in good shape then you don't need a new one.

Great idea, not sure on the color. I'd have to see it on the car before I decide. Definitely am going to do this in the spring though.

Yes, the gasket was included. I can't remember the cost, but I got it from one of the online GM parts dealers.

In regards to concerns about the colour I chose, here is the engine bay of my 2004 Dodge SRT4 for reference.

Think it was GM Parts Worldwide or GM Parts Direct.

gmpartsdirect has it for 104, and buygmpartsworldwide has it for 125. Did yours come with the gasket?

He said earlier it did. Not bad for the price if it does.
