Powell Oil separator/PCV relocate

Anyone running a Powell oil separator that cleaned their valves and has an idea of what they look like now? I'm about to pick one of these up and I'm definitely interested in long time users. And how to plumb it? I haven't seen the whole kit just most of it but until I disassemble the packaging and see everything I'm just trying to get an idea of how complicated it is. Thanks!

Apparently I have the instructions but all words lol. Pictures help in situations like this. Cause the separator itself has many different ports.

Sadly I don't know what half of the terms mean in reference to the parts of the pcv system lol. 45 degree angle this 90 degree that. I'm sure I'll figure it out just looking for people who have installed it.

Like Eric I have the v2 kit which I got from "soxfan" . I don't have the intake, which I would love. I think maybe Tom or kmo has the same kit you do. The 45 and 90 are about the different angled fittings that you use. Let me know where you get bogged down and I may be able to help. John or Gloria could also send install instructions. John's instructions are always kind of made for someone who is a more experienced mechanic like he is and they don't always make as much sense to those that aren't.

It's been an unfortunate turn of events, but this is still from the blown oil line. The shop was busy over the last few months so it just recently went there.

I found colodude18 on FB and messaged him and he sent me a video of the routing! I remembered seeing his OZ Ultraleggras for sale here and FB and made the connection. Thanks all, still interested in long term users feedback

k ill explain. the intake manifold line goes to the bottom port on separator via the supplied tee. the other end of the tee goes to the port on the valve cover that is on the passenger side. the stock port will have to be removed and it will have to be tapped 1/8 npt. use grease on the tap so that the shavings don't fall into the cover. best way I found to get stock fitting out is grab it with vice grip and hit vice grip with a hammer while holding on to it of course.

the top port of the separator goes to the port on the turbo. and obviously the port on the bottom of the separator will go to the new dipstick fitting.

So I need to tap the valve cover? This is the first I'm hearing of this.

Ya the separator uses a screw in line to the valve cover.

If anyone has any pictures on this I had no idea I needed to do this. I have the tap but I don't know what I need to do on the valve cover other than drill and tap?

I see the vacuum line now. Looked at the valve cover more. So once you get that braided line off, do you tap just inside it or do I have to cut it and then tap it?

You don't have to take it off to tap if you want to save yourself from work. I didn't, but I'm scared there's shavings from doing it that way.

After the intake mani is off it's only 10? VC bolts to get it off. So I'll take it off and walnut blast that too then paint it after I tap it. Extra 20 mins to ensure no shavings is worth it for me.

Why did u take it off to tap it? No need, just use grease on the tap, even if u do take it off u can't get shavings out from the backside if they fall in, they are in there for good. U screw the 1/8 npt to an6 fitting in the tapped hole. Use liquid Teflon or some kinda dealer on the fitting threads
