Drain the radiator using the drain port and then drain the block using the drain port on the bottom of the water pump. You can use just the water pump but in my experience if the system is still full it sprays everywhere so I drain most of the system via radiator drain, then use the water pump drain to make as little mess as possible.

I believe this is the water pump drain plug. I haven't done this yet but need to.

If you drain the coolant using the water pump drain plug you need to disconnect the upper radiator hose and be sure to fill coolant through the upper coolant hose before filling the radiator. If you don't you will trap air in the system and it is a BITCH to get it out.

Just pull the lines and let whatever drains drain. No point in draining the entire system.

It's kind of a sweet flavor. I didn't drain mine when I changed turbo. But it does drip on you.

I'm not sure that's even required.

If you have access to a vacuum filling system use that. It's amazing how much quicker/ idiot proof it is.

I just got one this year for my Nissan. It's ridiculous how easy it is. I don't think it would work through our overflow bottle.
