Question pure 93 octane gasoline or ethanol added 93 octane gasoline

which gets better mpg and which gets more power? pure ethanol free 93 octane gasoline or 10% ethanol 93 octane gasoline

Better MPG is non oxy 93. (Pure)

Having ethanol in there helps with knock so in theory the 10% helps with more power.

You will get more timing out of 10% ethanol.

If you aren't tuned you would get the same power. Pure gas will get better mileage.

Also if you are tuned and had 10% while tuning you could see knock if you use non oxy (pure)

Where have you found pure 93 ? I havent seen it in a long time in ny .

I think its a federal law that all gasoline must have 10% ethanol by volume.

Only have 91 around me. But I know the phillips 66 stations have pure gas and just about everything else is 10% ethinol added.

Ryland theres a sunoco on SR60 in brandon sells 93 no ethenol.

Ethanol has less energy than gas but is more resistant to knock. Better gas milage on pure gas

0 knock EVERY tune since day 1 on 93oct using the official fuel of nascar.

The station I purchase my race gas at sells Ethanol free gas.

I remember when a Sunoco by me used to sell 94 octane.

Yep.... we had it here too . Thats all i used to run in my Z and Nova..... it was like 7 cents more a gallon than 93 so it wasn't expensive

for a 12 gallon cobalt tank its only an extra .84 cents more to fill the tank I would take the extra octane for that.
