Red Calipers on White T/C (Finally Done!)
Red Calipers on White T/C (Finally Done!)
It was two weeks in the making... but it's done, and I love the results!
I used red Duplicolor caliper paint, Duplicolor Engine Enamel (Clearcoat), and ordered the white Brembo decals from eBay.
Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!
I apologize for massive pictures... didn't realize that.

Yeah I completely removed the fronts from the car, then I also removed the pins, pads, etc. from the Brembos when painting. The pistons were even out because I originally intended on powdercoating (but that's another story). The backs were painted right on the car - I removed the bolts holding them in position, and hung them over the rotor to paint.
I put about 5-6 coats of the clear engine enamel, and then baked at 200 degrees for 1hr 30mins.
Brembo decals were put on right before the wheels went back on; I'll be clearcoating them on eventually.
Here's the wide shot.

Not really. Just to be safe, I let them sit and harden for about an hour before putting them into the oven so it wasn't wet paint going in. It didn't smell too bad, and I definitely think its worth doing.
Because the place I was going to go to wanted me to remove the seals around the pistons. I didn't know any easy way of doing this, and I didn't want to ruin them or have to replace them. So at the last minute on the morning I was going to bring them in, I decided to paint instead to keep the costs down.
They were 3.25" x 0.8". Here's a link to them on eBay for anyone who decides to paint them; the seller was very fast too.
