Shifter linkage ?
 
As i was shifting into third i felt a snap and now my shifter goes straight up and down i can't go into neutral and it's stuck into 4th , i removes the shift boot and i can feel and see that the black part that allows the shifter to shift up and down is suppose to be an O ring attached to the very bottom of the shifter but it's more like a C now so is that what it is or is it my shifter linkage ?

you broke the cable clamp that connects at the bottom of the shifter. it is fairly common. OTTP(Over The Top Performance) sells both upgraded side cable clamp and the bottom cable clamp. easy fix. mark with a paint pen were the cable clamp is on the cable so when you put the new one on its in the ball park and you only need too do little adjustments.
