So I just installed a ZZP catless dp tonight, and holly ******* **** is the car loud! Granted I have a 3" side exit cat back as well, which is relatvely loud to begin with, but oh my god it is rediculous now. The turbo sound I get when I'm just cruising sounds freakin sweet, but when I go WOT... YUCK... I'm going to put the stock exhaust back on tomorrow (minus the stock dp that is, I'm lovin the ZZP dp) and hopefully it will sound a little less like a car with a broken exhaust. Any thoughts on how that will sound? Will the full stocker be too restrictive?

I'll try to make some sound clips tomorrow before I swap exhausts. If I hated my neightbors enough, I'd go ahead and make some clips for you tonight..
yeah I get that super raspy/broken exhaust sound with this setup so I be worried about the same thing with removing the muffler.. although maybe not seeing as how the stock piping is only 2.25" in stead of the 3" I have.. ehh I don't know

yeah I'll be trying that combo tomorrow either way, so I'm sure it will be leagues better than what it currently sounds like. Plus I won't have a stupid big gaping hole in my rear bumper where my exhaust tip once was..
I'm running a catless dp and a full 3" all the way through. I have a muffler but no designator or anything and I and everyone I know likes the sound. I had a buddy of mine record a WOT pull and I like it

lol.. yeah I knew it would obviously be loud, but this just sounds like canned ****
nope.. the exhaust is 2.25 ID.. it's 2.5 OD but who cares about the OD measurement for exhaust piping
I'll work on getting a sound clip today.. it really sounds sweet when just cruising around and you listen to that turbo spool, but other than that... yikes
it's a Jennetty side exit, and yeah it's super easy to install.. the longest part is deciding where oh where to make the cut on your stock exhaust just in case you might need to reuse it at some point.. it sounded great with the stock DP just not catless

To the OP: I run the ZZP DP and stock exhaust and I like the sound a lot. As others have said, it's a good mix of quite and loud! You can make plenty of power using the stock exhaust also

ok sweet.. I trust your oppinion, and I will know for sure later tonight when I do the swap. Can you still hear the turbo spooling through the exhaust at low rpm? That is by far the coolest part of this setup.. not cool enough to keep the side exit on though imo
