slight burning oil smell at startup

Ive noticed this a few times now. Only recently started happening within the last week.

The car's just under 100,000 miles and I can smell a hint of burning oil when I start it in the garage with windows down. I have also noticed the smell while driving (windows up), I assumed it was some other vehicle near me but maybe it was my vehicle.

have not checked the oil or spark plugs or anything. Just a feeler to see if others have had this experience. The car still accelerates strong, no codes. In fact, it runs as though nothing is wrong. Ive never cleaned the valves. Possibly burning some oil crusties?

The CAT cannot take care of any cold start-up emissions. Look at your post o2 readings after it has warmed up. That will tell you if it is still functioning.
