SS Sedan #3!

SS Sedan #3!
They say that the third time is the charm, right? Let's hope this to be the case!
As you know, my 2nd was recently totaled in an accident - https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-1...-boned-322102/
I knew I wasn't done with the delta platform just yet, so the hunt began for a clean replacement. I had planned on using my totaled ride as a donor car because
1.) I knew I would be hard pressed to find another with the pristine interior that mine had
and
2.) I had just put a bunch of money into OE replacement suspension parts/tires and combined with all of my go fast goodies, were valued at more than what it would cost to buy it back.
Found myself a SUPER clean G85 SRTC Sedan with 66K miles on it in Las Vegas. I flew in to check it out and wound up driving it home on 8/11/16. Mechanically, the only thing I didn't like was the clutch engagement and knew that the clutch master was shot. I replaced it once I got it home and my god, what a pain in the ass! Brakes are brand new OEM, including the pads and the trans/motor are smooth as butter!
Currently, the car is mildy tuned, has my ZZP intake tube on the stock air box and has my ZZP catless DP. I forgot how quiet these cars are with the stock res/catback lol... Once the suspension has been transferred over (sans the lowering springs), the K04R, K&N SRI and 3" RFL go on.
Here she is all cleaned up and rolling on my Nitto 555 G2s
Unfortunately for me, I was 10000% right when it came to my 1st point above. The interior was dirty as ****! I ripped all of the seats out, vacuumed and scrubbed the carpet with a mitt to get all of the dog hair that was embedded and wound up replacing all of the interior dash trim pieces + the radio. I had to scrub the windows, dash and door panels like you wouldn't believe...
Before, on the drivers side (pictures do no justice, this MFer was dirty AF!) + Bonus - GMPP Sport pedals!
After, passenger side
Here's the seats that I removed and replaced. Driver side was obviously the worst. It was torn, beat up, deformed and literally look like someone rolled around in **** and then sat in it. It actually looks better in the picture!
Rears/Radio
Here's the completed project -
This is a sad picture right here!
And finally, I have this awesome new tool that is going to help me complete the suspension overhaul!

Bought it off of ebay for $100 shipped. Screaming deal for a brand new, never used tool
Ha! That's incredible. He told me someone had called just before I got there! Yeah, definitely a nice buy for sure. It's a great car and I'm actually happier with it than the 2 previous sedans.

Just wanted to share the progression on the car in terms of power
*ALL runs done on the same stretch of road, etc etc etc*
Stock - 232/241
20psi, stock timing, ultra grandma like tune - 267/281
Same tune, ZZP intake tube and ZZP catless downpipe - 277/314
E25, very similar tune, 12° - 311/351
Next up is K&N SRI vs ZZP intake tube/stock air box

Small update in terms of power output, should anyone GAF
*disclaimer, this has all been on the same stretch, same gear, same starting MPH using V-Dyno*
E47, 23psi, 20* timing, K&N, ZZP Catless DP - 354/388
Same as above + K04R and 3" RFL - 401/424 (51* weather)
Same as above, in warmer 84* weather - 388/417
WR-3 6758 at 25psi with E47, 20* of timing - 441/404 (severe FP drop after 5800RPM) - Clutch said F you shortly after this and I backed down the E content due to FP issues.
Comparing the stocker to the K04R was a pretty decent gain, especially after 5500. The WR3 vs the K04R is literally night and day from 4000 on. At 6500 the 6758 is sitting at 441 and still climbing vs the K04R sitting at 361.
Looking forward to see what the new clutch, cool weather and new tune will do

It was consistently in the 380s on my ride. Cooler weather and it screamed. Very temperamental with heat. Definitely not a consistent 400whp turbo
