I see on Trifecta's website that they download and store your stock tune and can reinstall it if need be. Has anyone done this?

You would have to have them ship you back their GT Tuner and you would have to pay a deposit and shipping each time.

Yes you can flash your stock tune back to your car with the trifecta cable.

Yeah on this note, you can also flash back to stock with HP Tuners since stock tunes are available at hptuners.com. If you dont own it, you can either find someone who has your entire make/model year licensed (free!), or pay $100 for someone to license your vehicle on their device.

You wont be able to go back to the trifecta tune though, since HPT cant read/save it.

I personally bought the trifecta cable since a couple of friends are trifecta tuned. They come to me and I flash them back and forth for free.

And his motor didn't blow either... lol. Car was previously tuned by another company as well. If you're talking about who I think you are talking about anyways lol

Sherm420s car was running great until he got tuned by Trifecta then it started misfiring and was running a 9.0 A/F at WOT. Something is broken now on his car hopefully the dealer will find the cause of the misfires. I hope he does not have cracked ring lands. I have logs showing a ton of misfires and compressor surge that they cause at WOT. His A/F is dead on according to my logs but it is knocking on close to stock timing on 93 octane.

Order the tune with the cable so you can reflash the tune whenever you want

if you're going to go trifecta it's best to just get the hide a tune.. then theres no reason for reflashing

and term yu fail to mention the fact that his charge pipiing had a hole in it causing issues as well as his intake and he was having misfires prior to the tune ...

also you could also buy a cable for yourself so you can pay a 1 time fee and reflash/ update with vince at any time

hptuners cant read the trifecta tunes.. HOWEVER they can write over trifecta tunes.. and make changes to that tune.. so if you wanted you could get a hybrid tune.. with trifectas infiniboost / switch tune settings and bumped fuel pressure then you can go in and tune it like regular HPtuners wont be able to write/ read that custom trifecta code but your custom tune will still work giving you the best of all worlds

I bought the cable and an OBD2 scanner allthough you can use the Trifecta software to data log. I will be doing tunes after the new year in the South Pittsburgh area. PM me if your interested.

That little hole was only a small issue. The Hahn intake makes the car run leaner than normal not richer. The car was running fine until right after he got tuned then it immediately started misfiring badly and running mega rich. Something is definately broken on his car but it was not that way prior to his Trifecta tune. That was my point.

thats weird because according to his original order form he said there was issues with his car.. he said told they MIGHT be able to help fix it depending on the cause.

he stated in his threads that he brought it to the dealership before he got it tuned...

And were you not the last person to tune his car..... And its broken again?

He barely had the trifecta tune on his car. He has been running your tune much longer, and you blame the trifecta tune for his current problem.
