At track having engine problems

I know this topic has been talked about before but searching on via my phone and time are a pita. Car was fine last night, drove 2 hours to njmp thunderbolt this morning and getting on the throttle i get hesitation and backfiring over 4k. Any thoughts? Car is cooling off and i have another hour before my next track session.

Plugs only have 30k on them. I. Did fill up this morning, it was 4am, nj, they pump for you, told him super. I have 3/4 tank left, should i fill it with 100 octane that have at the track to be safe?

I finished another session and the car ran beautifully. I didn't change a thing. My next session is coming up, keeping my fingers crossed.

I just got back from the track. I went the rest of the day without a problem. I did let the engine cool between sessions with the hood open as it was very hot and humid in NJ this weekend--I wonder if that played in to it. I'll have to look in to pulling the plugs and checking them out, I actually have a spare set I can easily put in.

Thanks for all the help. I was really afraid I made it all the way to my first track day with the car and would get stuck observing and calling a tow truck to get me home.
