I bought mine with the intentions of running it into the ground. For ***** and gigs, I looked up my trade in value on KBB. $11,848. Private party is at $13,282. I paid 14k 4 months ago.

I wish insurance companies viewed it as just another Cobalt...My insurance company quoted me price for 6 months on the 06 SS and I about fell over as it is as much as my 2010 Camaro SS!!! My insurance card even states that its a Cobalt SS/SUPERCHARGED..and yes its all caps on the insurance paper.

Well if we didn't have idiot kids wrapping their cars around trees and street racing we'd have better rates. It's all based on stats. I pay $100 month for my insurance through State Farm and I've never filed a claim and my last ticket was in 2006.

I was looking to trade in my 2012 Focus ... the car is a little too boring because I got the base model with the DCT It was shocking how low the trade in value was. As a compromise I bought my '08 SS/TC and kept the focus for DD/winter duty. The SS is an absolute bargain in the used market! I wanted a Focus ST, but it was prohibitively expensive, due to my being $5K under water on the 2012.

The insurance is expensive on the SS though.

I just traded my 2009 SS T/C with ~39,8## miles for a 2013 Town & Country Limited. I was very sad to see it go, but I owed $1,880 and they gave me $12K for my trade-in value. Just over $10K on the trade-in and they paid off the remaining balance owed on the car. They sold it within 2-3 days of me trading it in.. n: for me, but good for them.

If you have a new or used ride in mind, then you can haggle with the numbers... I figured I would have received $13k-$14k if I tried to sell it myself, so I wasn't terribly disappointed with what they offered me.

Doesn't that have the rare 2.0 TT motor in it? I heard gm had lots of issues with them.

To me, I see way too many STi's which is why I rather have a 2014 Evo X. I can get one of them for 34k new.
