easiest way to find out if you have g85 is pull the carpet out of your trunk and on the left hand side there will be a build sticker and if it has the g85 code listed on there then you have the LSD

I'm pretty positive all 2010s have the Limited Slip (G85). This is the last year for the Cobalt and it seems that everything was pushed into one package to get all parts out of the factory. I'm almost positive all 2010 SS/TCs are identical except for colors.

 

Nope ... unfortunately Limited slip is still an option even for the 2010's ..... but it's the only option . Everything else is standard. In Canada LSD is standard along with everything else.

I no longer have access to dealerworld ... The dealership I had my account with closed . Sorry.

No, actually most of the 2010 SS/TC don't have the G85(LSD) option, at least the ones I've dealt with.

Actually sport pedals, G85, and I thinka smoker's package were the only options for 2010. Mine came fully loaded. I still have the window sticker with everything the car has.

Sorry.... I assumed people would realize the color .... G85 is the only other factory option. Sport pedals and the like are dealer installed options .

 

This car has all the options. G85, Sport pedals and smoker's package. I just looked it up.

I didn't really care about the sport pedals when I first got my car... but they've kinda grown on me.

 

its a cross between Vicotry Red and Sport Red lol not as dark as SR but not as light as VR

 

I still think the sport pedals are a waste. I only have them because they were on there when I picked it up at the dealership. I love the LSD though. It feels weird in a front wheel drive car. Torque steer like a ****! It took some adjusting to for sure. Its well worth the 500 bux as an option I.M.O. anyways.

 

I work in Insurance so I have programs I can stick VIN's in to get information but nothing really useful here.

All I can tell you is:

X = 2.0L Turbo
F = Airbags (D/P/S)
7 = Built in Lordstown Ohio

In Canada, in 2010, all SS cars get an LSD. I think this means that G85 is not an option code then.

I would love to know what the deal was here in 2009. Interested in a 2009 sedan but no G85 code in the build sheet. OTOH if it was standard equipment.......
