What is your average gas mileage?

Driving about 4 hours today, I pulled a respectable 27 MPG cruising non stop at 80mph.

My overall MPG for the life of my car is around 24 MPG.

I am curious as to what sort of MPG you are all recording overall in your car.

Higher then you expected? Lower?

Vote in the poll and lets see what most people are averaging.

On the highway I can see 33-35mpg regularly. In town, depends on my driving... Probably like 24mpg average, dipping down to as little as 12mpg on certain back roads strafing runs

It's tough for the LS, especially with an auto... The 2.2 has to work much harder than the LSJs and LNFs to maintain speed. The extra gear helps us in fuel economy, too.

constantly around 30.5-31.5 average. I do all highway driving, about an hour and a half every day on the highway.

I was getting 33mpg with my LT model in the city. A bit higher on the highway. With my SS, I get 27.7 city. I can't get it above 30.2 on the highway at 80mph

Straight highway - it's damn near 30mpg when I set the cruise at 75. If I slow down and set the cruise to 60, I'll get ~35mpg. If I slow down even more and set the cruise at 45, I'll get 40+mpg.

Overall though (considering I'm tuned and I hop on the throttle more often than not), I get between 24 and 26 (highway, stop and go, etc.) depending on how heavy my right foot gets with that tank of gas.

Heh - when I actually keep my foot OUT of it, I can do 24-30mpg.
I have a 21mi (each way) trek to work every day, about 15-17 of which is highway.

I remember driving it home Friday night when I picked it up, the DIC registered 32mpg Inst for about 20 miles or so, and I was impressed. I'm coming from a 10mpg average V8 pickup!

you reset your MPG average by pressing the little arrow button on the left side of your steering wheel. Just hit it while your average mpg rating is showing on your DIC display screen and it should reset. If your confused. look at your owners manual.

my average is 25.3 city/hwy mix. I haven't reset since I bought it and this is a 6300 mile average. I do 80-85 on the hwy most of the time.....and I accelerate hard in the city! Damn respectable gas mileage........now only if our tanks were bigger.

At least we can fill up for $20-25. Not $50-60 like some peoples vehicles.

Well, I've only had it for less than a month but I've been averaging about 22

09 SS Sedan. Does the fact that is' black make it get worse mileage? :-)
