well considering that the Tc isnt out yet I doubt anyone has an answer to that question.. If it helps I believe that the tranny is going to be the same one as in the SS/SC

I was parting together mounts for a TC VS SC comparision in GM's part system and it looks like all but one of the motor and tranny mounts have a different part number .

Different part numbers dont mean anything, GM changes part numbers all the time, and for apparently no reason. A different part number isnt any evidence that the parts have changed. As far as I know the only difference MAY be an upgraded clutch(as mentioned)

I am sure that GM did some research on the SS/SC cobalt so they can fix the problems on the SS/TC cobalt just like when they did the saturn redline to make the cobalt ss/sc better

making the ion redline had nothing to do with making the balt ss/sc better the IRL came out first and the 04's are the strongest as far as axel's cause they diameter dosent taper down like 05+ IRL's and EVERY balt SS/SC on the axel's toward's the hub.. IMO chevy should have never put 18's on a FWD car with HP and TQ all over the power band.. it's what leads to axel breakage and tranny case cracking, 50+ base corner weight and they wonder why some SS/SC's snap controll arm's in auto X...05+ irl's and SS/SC's have a stronger tranny casing IF it has the LSD. and as the year's go on the tune's get more agressive. which is why my 07 stage 2 IRL could beat an 05 with more work (2.85 hp tuned, bwoody tranny mount, catless)
and as far as a factory clutch it's an exedy unit... and if people could drive properly they wouldnt have problem's.
