yet another spark plug question

Supposedly, all the spark plug questions that could ever come up have been answered, however I am still a little confused (I searched for spark plug help before posting ).

I have a 08 LNF with a 24 psi Trifecta tune. I just bought AC Delco 41-108 plugs. Should I gap them to the stock 0.035, or around something like 0.032 since I'm tuned?

Thanks

you want the largest gap w/out blowout. start at .035 and work your way down

At 24psi you may actually wanna start thinking about running heat range 6 plugs, depending on timing etc. I wouldn't run stock heat and gap at that level, that's just me.

Since we're on this topic.. I've been wondering.. if I gapped mine down to say .030 or .031 from .033, would it help to reduce some midrange knock retard that I've been having? Like 1-3 degrees. Doesn't have it anywhere else.. just around 3k-4.5k or so. I did manage to get it to go away, but I threw in 2 bottles of octane boost lol.. 1 lucas and 1 nos max racing.. that should be almost 10 full octane between the two.. nos claims 60 pts or 6 octane, and lucas is somewhere between 2-4 octane. I run 94 octane constantly and 2 steps colder currently.
Mods:
K&N SRI
CIA boost tubes, hot & cold side
ZZP FMIC (full size)
ZZP catless DP
ZZP ported head with stage 1 cams and Hd springs
NGK 6510's (previous were 3787's which ran good but had more KR than the 6510's with the new head)

I ran the 24psi Trifecta tune for 2 years on stock plugs and stock gap. I never threw a misfire code. I now run a 21psi HPT E47 tune. I still run stock gap and stock plugs. I still don't get misfires. We don't have an EGT sensor, but oh well.

Not to sound like an ass but ocatne boosters are really just bottles of **** water with a fancy label. They do NOTHING. The "points" they say they increase the octane aren't actually full "points" like you're thinking. They are decimal points... Like... .6 octane or .2 octane. In some cases, these octane boosters actually DECREASE performance and horsepower.

It would be best to steer clear of them.

Ya.. I usually do, but I had to try SOMEthing to get that knock to go away, and it did, albeit until I used up that fuel

Stock plugs should be .032 that's what mine were. And no don't run any other heat range for 24 psi ur car will hate u. It's not needed. I tried one range cooler. My car gurgled and ran like crap.

I'm on 5 years now with stock plugs and a couple of different tunes. I still haven't had any issue with stock plugs and stock gap.
