$5k budget plan?
Zzp intercooler kit
zzp 3” downpipe
intake of your choice all pretty much can net same power goals. Even stock air box with k&n filter and zzp intake tube are good. Short Ram intake like k&n will get the most turbo and bpv noise if your looking for that.
Zzp catback exhaust (optional if your power goals aren’t much higher than 400whp) a must if your aiming higher.
Everything past this point will 100% need to be tuned for***
vvvvvv
gms1 3 bar map sensors and plug and play harness.
now depending on what fuel is available to you the options following may change.
91/93 oct- zzp z54 or zfr6758 turbos would be the best options. Good for 400ish whp (zfr a little more if you push it)
recommend heavier valve springs but not a requirement. Will let you rev right to 7krpm which is nice.
if you have e85 available (can run it strait or mix with 91 50/50 to get e47
Then zzp z57 or zfr7163 turbos will give you some more power head room (450+ depending how hard you push it.) completely stock block is reliable to 450ish with a good turn several people have had luck pushing past that. Key is good tune and ethanol****
if you do choose to run ethanol and the bigger turbos your going to require some fuel mods as well.
recommended zzp stage 2 cams with larger fuel lobe and heavier valve springs minimum. (There are several other fuel upgrade options I won’t get into unless your planning to go. They also do a ported head which is nice.
this route. 450whp would be reliably attainable with these mods.
most likely you will need a clutch sooner than later at this point.
For suspension mods to put the owner down
Powell rotated trans mounts and some yyz lowering/performance springs.
ottp also ripped off those trans mounts and makes an identical product.
sticky tires will be needed
and you will want something to monitor ecu perameters and check codes. Aeroforce interceptor gauge is a good product for that.
you will need a laptop and horsepower tuners to do the tuning required unless you have someone local using there equipment to tune you.
personally I think it’s worth the investment to have your own setup.
You can get most stuff and prices off zzp website if you did everything on that list I’d bet you’d be over the 5k budget.
