Yes we are using an LE5 block. I don't really know his end goal. He basically wants a better spool and more TQ. He made 440hp last dyno.

Ya he has cracked an LE5 block or 2. We are running a smaller turbo and stock cams. Thus is what he wanted for a better track car. The main track he goes to is not a big HP track he's just looking to have a lower powerband to help leaving the corners. We usually turn it down for track days anyhow.

Ive split the sleeves on 2 le5 blocks. Maybe running a higher pressure coolant cap would help

I was able to do a bit more work on the build over the weekend. She was pretty clean compared to the LE5. I also started porting the head. I'm going big on the exhaust to get the air out but will be keeping the intake side mild since we will be running stock cams.

We will be back at the build again this weekend. We are doing some very interesting block mods that I will be sharing!
