I got some bulk stuff from an RC fuels supplier for cheaper than VP, at least at the time. And it was sealed in quart containers. It made it really easy because I would just dump the quart into my "meth jug", and then fill the same quart with distilled water and dump that in too. I haven't done it in a while, but I think the 50/50 volume comes out to about 44% by weight, which is right about what I wanted. Made it super easy and I could mix it in the same gallon jug, even if it wasn't completely empty.

This is my wideband purchased from ZZP. It's not a water Meth failsafe. It's an A/F failsafe, therefore anything that causes A/F to go lean or rich is triggered to a boost solenoid on my TVS. I'm not running my engine off of 100% Meth injection and even if I had a complete failure my knock retard will cover the 6 degrees I measured with it off. I'm using water meth injection for the cooling and octane benefits, not a secondary fuel supply. At 6000' ASL . If I want to impress myself with a Dynograph I will make multiple changes to timing and Water Meth volume but for daily driving it's fine where it's at.

I just looked it up, and its 32 bucks for 5 gallons in sealed quart containers. They claim 99.9X% typical purity.
After shipping it was 56 bucks. So about the same as VP, but in "easier" to use quart jugs vs pouring or pumping out of a 5 gallon container. Assuming the VP 55 dollars is the price to your door.

Just throwing out the source in case anyone is interested. Site is kind of outdated looking, but I've ordered multiple times without issue.

I bought my VP methanol in a 55 gallon drum from the local outfit that sales racing fuel. I think I spent like $180 for the 55 gallons.

These manufacturers can go pound sand for all I care. Following up with the manufacturers more than I have is a waste of my time in my opinion; when a company is doing something super simple (like making 49% Methanol/51% Water mixture) and needs customer feedback to improve the product, that is a red flag to me that they suck. The day they come out publicly and money back guarantee their methanol content, I will stop caring about other people's engines.

Possible misunderstanding with my workplace questions...how/why is this relevant again?

when i was running 27pgh of straight meth, i could TRY to go wot with the tank empty, and the car would just not move. So lean that it was beyond the combustion limit. Like when you try to go wot with 1/16th of a tank and the car just falls on it's face.
