Are all turbo lnf ecu interchangeable?

I have had the p2227 code for a while now and there’s a guy selling an ecu from a different year turbo cobalt, are they al the same for the lnf? Would me having an rpd change that? Thanks

I believe u need one for the year your car is. that or you have to do something to it to make it work if its from wrong year
