ok. so you have a link to that? not all of us are 16 year old chicks

cmiller8006 Oct 13, 2010 01:43 PM

I heard about it. But haven't seen it yet. I talked about doing this for a big turbo a year and a half ago before we were able to raise the fuel pressure. Don't have facebook to see the pics.

blackvette101 Oct 13, 2010 01:43 PM

that is awesome. how come you guys kept the stock manifold though. why not sheetmetal?

Looks nifty. Info?

LE5_AJ Oct 13, 2010 02:04 PM

When will it be for sale and is it tuneable with hp tuners?

hungryhip-ccp Oct 13, 2010 02:18 PM

very nice. split second box right? Thats what we used. how is the 2nd set being controlled on this set-up?

fakameanrepresent Oct 13, 2010 03:06 PM

neat design

BooSSted Oct 13, 2010 04:05 PM

Looks complicated! Thank god there are brilliant and innovative people in this world that can figure all this stuff out for those of us that are less imaginative!

i like zzps post better though

Old hat. BaldTurboFreak has been doing this for YEARS on the solstices.

I worry about the aggregation of fuel on the opposite side of the intake mani though. Regardless, it will do the job.

i may not post much, but do you ever have anything positive to say? I get it you think your parts are the best, but it doesnt mean you have to be a douche to zzp or others...honestly I wouldve bought a few things from you guys but your attitude towards zzp in other threads made me not....

What did I say that was wrong there, sir? All I said is that BTF has done it for years, meaning, its been done, and its been proven. then I raised an issue that has been raised in numerous different platforms that I follow (many of the issues being raised on hondas), when running secondary injectors. The issue being fuel aggregation on the opposite side of the intake manifold. This is a real problem, and I would like to see if ZZP has a solution to that. Fuel aggregation is a real problem when adding secondary injectors to ANY intake manifold, whether it be ours, or a Skunk2 on a honda.

I never once brought up werks, on this subject. So, I would appreciate if you wouldn't be so quick to take this post simply as negativity. Its simply me looking for information on the setup, not bashing.

theres been heat from both parties. but this threads not about that. so leave it alone. im curious about what you guys done....did you go back to stock turbo to prototype for safety or what?

Im just saying lets help each other instead of the back and forth crap between people, Im sorry if I took your post wrong.....Just seemed like you were knocking this new thing their trying is all!

Thats what I am trying to do. Its not new, at all. Its just relatively unseen. 90% of the people over here don't even know who BTF is, I am willing to bet. I was just saying this is a proven setup. It works. But I just wanna know how well it works, due to fuel aggregation. Thats it!

As of right now, I am running my car with the stock turbo and E85. I was able to put down 355whp sae on the DI injectors only(2800psi). I then installed the port fuel injectors and put down exactly the same power with the DI injectors providing ~2/3 of the fuel and the port injectors providing ~1/3. This was good news since I was afraid that we might lose a little power due to the port injection not being able to utilize the benefits of direct injection. My theory is that above 25% duty cycle, DI gains are quickly diminishing. In other words, the shortened pulses of the DI system are helping at least as much as the port injection is hurting.

This is what I was interested in. Thats what I like to see! I was contemplating doing the same thing, so I could run E85. Are the secondaries pretty well angled into the intake port, then? They look to be angled, but hard to tell HOW angled, ya know?

Yes, they are angled nearly 45 degrees.
