pretty much any turbo car is going to run higher egts than a normal car. i know i had mine glowing a few times when i was up in michigan. but never had it happen with my old m62 setup. that and its the first thing the exhaust gasses hit after coming out of combustion... its going to be hot, and its going to expand.

I know this, but you dont often see turbo manifolds that use the slip fit trick on the runners.

those slips will really benefit the daily driven modified cars.........to avoid cracking of the SS manifold.

daily driven turbo cars really suffer from the frequent heat cycles encountered by the exhaust manifold.

yeah, because most of the aftermarket manifolds even some "well known companies"....don't have them......."full race manifold" wink wink

having the slip joint is nice!!!

Due to high exhaust gas pressure, many inexperienced fabricators choose to weld collectors directly to primary tubes to prevent leaks. This is not a good practice as thermal expansion will cause thermal stresses, leading to cracking tubes. I am personally using Burns double slip collectors for my compound manifold.

The double slip eliminates the need to weld the collector since it minimizes leakage around the slip joint. As the exhaust header heats up, the outer sleeve actually tightens around the collector to seal in exhaust gases, yet is compliant enough to relieve thermal stress

Yeah the burns double slip collector (and all burns collectors) is awesome, but not many people feel the need to spend over 400 bucks for just what you put in the picture never mind the rest of the adapters and the rest of the mani.

that's why the WERKS manifold is really cheap having all those slips...........compared to other aftermarket manifolds out there.....

for $975......it is very reasonably priced.

yes it will still be 399, i'm not sure iff zzp will be doing any installs. but bullseye will install and balance for free if you pay shipping both ways to get your turbo there and back. and the red dot is just a flaw in the site. its for "invisible mode" but it just comes up red instead of showing the 'offline' uncolored dot.

Agreed! On both! Any clue on how long the install takes beyond the obvious shipping waiting time?
