changing plugs

changing my spark plugs, got the OEM ones, wondering if theres a trq spec for these??

Wangspeed Sep 23, 2011 06:31 PM

15 ftlb, though I admit that I don't use a torque wrench for this one. Don't put anything on the threads. You might want to check the gap too. Should be .030 - .032.

so no anti seez?

vahdyx Sep 23, 2011 06:33 PM

Oh shit, I just put anti seize on the threads on my spark plug change today. How bad is that?

Also wangspeed wanna check out this thread and let me know what you think?

Nothing wrong with a little antiseeze and stock plugs and gap are best

Except the shop manual says do not use anti seize on the aluminum head. The reason I got was that it makes it easier to over torque and cross thread.

I say if it's already in, don't worry about it.

The stock plugs are coated and should not seize.

seems like the plugs were gapped already.. i decided to put a tiny bit of anti seez on it, everything went well and the car runs awesome.. before was kinda a rough idle and sometimes got a misfire NLSing @39k miles so it was due lol

Sounds good now we can go see the difference...
