Changing valve springs/retainers

How hard is this other than taking off the valve cover? Will I require anything other than the springs/retainers? ie. new gaskets, etc.
The car was just recently put together, 2-3 working days ago and is awaiting a Map sensor b4 release, however I have ZZP valve spring/retainer set somewhere in the mail.. it's too late for them to do it, so I have to do it now. Just want to know if I need anything else, or what's involved in removing the old and installing the new. It's probably straightforward, but I want to make sure since I've never done anything like this before...
Removed valve covers on an 88 302 mustang i had way back in tha day lol.. that was the closest I think.. oh and an 89 sho :P with a buddy(it was his car). Same kinda shit, or way harder?
Meh.. gotta learn, but wanna know b4 it's in pieces. Never tackled anything with this much wiring/computer crap in the way. Want it done in 1 day. Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

It involves pulling the cams so no, it isn't like replacing springs on a pushrod motor.

There is a way of doing springs w/o taking off the head with an air compressor not for the inexperienced though. ZZP can do springs I am pretty sure w/o taking off heads also?

I'm pretty sure they are using air pressure to keep the valves from falling into the cylinders while the replace the retainers and springs.

No, the valves will not fall in if you do it right. It takes a little bit of effort to move the valves anyways due to them riding on the valve guides and seals. If you are worried, use the fitting off of a compresion tester and get an adapter for the threads on the head (a lot easier to.find, should be npt threads) so you can fit the npt threads on your air compressor. Crank the regulator down to around 50, fill the cylinder up after youve pulled the cams and I guarantee you wont push it in the cylinder.
