Cold start question

hey everyone! so im having a small issue on cold start. i replaced my factory pcm in my 2008 LNF with a new unit from ZZP. no crazy tune or anything as the car is stock besides a muffler, lowering springs and GMS1. only reason for replacing it was it had an internal issue. car is running flawlessly since i put the new pcm in but the only issue ive had is on cold starts it doesn't go into high idle like it used to. it immediately goes to 1000 rpm. anybody have any pointers on relearning the cold start high idle? thanks! |
1000 seems high. Idle should be somewhere around 750 RPM. I'd ask ZZP what the deal is.
|
Does the idle speed lower once the engine is warmed up?
It's likely they have it set to idle at 1000rpm under 100*F coolant and then slowly lower idle speed with increasing coolant temp. |
Cat warm up mode may be disabled on the ZZP PCM.

Called zzp and they did indeed disable the cat warmup. Thanks for the input!
