Dealerships are amazingly stupid!
I just when to the local chevy dealer to inquire about the turbo ss, if they had ordered one or not so I could test drive it to make my car desicion easier. They swore up and down there is no SS cobalt anymore and the reason the sc cobalt was cancelled is becuase their making the hhr SC (also bullshit) I explained that production has started on the turbos and they should be hitting lots in a couple weeks and the dumb ************ actually argued with me about it and told me I need to check my sources!
Needless to say I laughed in his face and walked off

you should've told him to build one n chevy.com
that like afer i bought my ss/na last summer and put on my header/eexhaust the tech told me all i have left is the stage 2 and it would keep up with corvettes. it makes you feel great that the guy who just installed your parts dont know his ass from his elbow

Yeah, lol, that would have worked... regardless, im not going to do business with a stealership who doesn't even know what kind of cars they sell,
example. a guy in there, possibly a manager or a service guy im unsure, asked me about my LT, he didnt know what it was, he asked if it came with the blue trimmed interior and if it was sporty lawl.
I said no its slow.
Its the kind of dealership that has a million LS cobalts and no SS, Im pretty sure ive never seen even an SS 2.4 sitting on the lot
Wow, you know, I guess I didn't. Thank god you gave me the heads up!

A couple months ago I was at a dealership that swore up and down that they never made a supercharged Cobalt. That dealership was in the process of going under and have since folded and been bought out by the Toyota dealership next door.
Don't expect salespeople to know anything more than how many doors it has. Most of them don't even know the difference between "machined face aluminum" and "custom spoke" wheels.

There probably isnt a video.
The right way to no lift shift is to shift as normal but dont let off the gas. you have to meet 2 requirements though:
must be a 95% + throttle
Must complete the shift in .5sec or less

^^^ Word, I woulda bet the whole car against him. If it isnt real you pay him 25k, if it is real the dealership sucks up the cost and you get a free SS/TC.

Yea I called every dealership in a 100mile radius and about 3 knew ANYHING about the SS/TC the other 30 dealerships where baffled... The one dealership tried to argue with me and say the 07 Cobalt SS was turbo charged and I was like no dude they are 08 and they have come yet.. he goes im 100% positive we have a 2007 that is turbo he said come down and take a look and then he said we have a turbo SS in 2005....so I just hung up the phone i was in tears from laughing

I can understand why he made that assumption.
During a business meeting awhile ago there was the announcement that chevy was stopping production of the Cobalt SS's....which was set in stone by Chevy/GM.
Then after that they received alot of negative feedback with the claim...so they chose to redesign it under the SS/TC.
Basically he wasnt informed they went back on theire decision.
Dont blame him for his idiocy...blame him for being a bad salesman for arguing with you.
what you SHOULD do is...
go and work with him...get numbers down on paper...
THEN..at the last moment...ask to talk to his manager...then request that another salesman gets full commission due to him arguing with you.
Select a salesman to get credit too...i normally pick the laziest one there puttin around on the internet(like what im doing now)...and give it to him.
Sales managers will most likely give it to the said salesman that you selected.

I SWEAR we should be the dealers... we know more then they do.... and they get paid, and for what?
like wow... some of the people are amazing... make a list of easy questions to ask and i will go to the 3 closest dealerships and ask random dealers these easy questions and I guarntee you they ALL fail
like do they want to make money off the sale? or not... so many dealers said they were going to call back within the next hour and they never do? its so funny all you do is stand up walk across the room and ask the sales manager... go back to your area dial number of the caller and tell him what u heard and if not all is well atleast have your word on calling back for information.... I hate when they say "I will call you when we have one." after I already said I want to get my car i drive now appraised? its like it goes through one ear and out the other
i am goin to go to dealerships and tell them how great of sales reps they have on their lot.... and then do a burnout in my SS/TC when i leave

I had a similar experience this weekend. The guy was new so I gave him a break but he had no idea. I'd type the whole conversation out but it would just be to long and pathetic. Suffice to say, he now knows that the Cobalt SS/TC is in production and a sedan version will be available for 09. I really hope he calls me to do a test drive though. I love taking new salemen out for rides. The last one involved a Dodge Charger RT and 115 on the speedo All the guy could say was, "It's got some pick-up eh?" I just replied "Yeah the jaggoff tailgating us with his V6 mustang never knew what hit him..." Classic.
