DRL fuse, hid headlights
 

I understand the reasoning for pulling the DRL fuse to prevent daytime flicker and damaging your HID bulbs and ballasts. But I was wondering how this makes your headlights behave when you pull the fuse.


1)Does it prevent the headlights from coming on during the day or does it let them turn on at full power instead?

2) at night do the headlights come on automatically or do they now require them to be turned on manually? Via the nob left of the steering wheel?

3)for people running both low and fog hids do you mount both of the ballasts under the headlight bracket (is there room for both) or do you mount the fog balasts elsewhere if so where?

4)For those running relays do the relay cords easily reach the battery post from the passenger side? Preferably not over the engine?

5) on the driver information center when you hold down the select and scroll buttons there is an outside lights option on/off what does turning this off do?

1) By pulling the fuse you will have no lights during the day, as long as your car uses the highs at a lower wattage for DRLs and not the signal. If your car uses the signal, there is no harm leaving the DRL fuse in.
2) The auto headlights still function normally. No affect to those at all.
3) had room to mount both ballasts under the headlight bracket. If you are able to get slim ballasts, even better.
4) The relay harness that I use has enough room to reach the battery, just zip tie it to the existing wiring running in front of the engine behind the rad on the frame.
5) Not sure what that option on the DIC does. Maybe it is what puts your headlights on when you unlock your car using the FOB.

Thanks for the straight forword answers. Same car as you so it's my lows at a low voltage.

Any one know for sure what the DUI outside light option does?
