I recently bought Brigestone potenzas RE760 sport, and so far they're great.
-A little softer sidewall than stock but definately worth the tradeoff in comfort. (and got them in 235/40 on stock rims so they bulge a bit)
-Ultimate grip is at least equivalent or better than stock no squealing
-Treadwear is 340 vs 280 for the stock contis.
-MUCH cheaper than stock contis

Love them so far, would rebuy for sure

Louis

I'm at 18k on the stock Contis. Will probably easily do 20k. Conti DW is the front runner for me. They won't be annoyingly loud, and are superb in the rain.

im not to worried about tread life i wont some good sticky tires to have fun with, you buy a lil quick car like this. you should be prepared for the wear and t

Continental ExtremeContact DW
I've been running the DW's in a 235/40-18 on 18 x 8 wheels since mid March here and they are superb in the rain and when it's dry.

I have the DWS mounted on the stock wheels and ran them all last winter, also very pleased.

I just got Firestone Firehawk wide oval indy 500's from tirerack.com
excellent dry grip and high speed stability. they are silky smooth at triple digits.
great tire, and great price on tirerack right now. only complaint i have is they are quite noisy on rough pavement, but that's what the volume knob is for on the radio! LOL

i searched for months b4 i made my decision...although i cant vouch for many other tires since i havent driven on them, i will say that the hankook ventus v12 evo's are awesome!!. GREAT handling and performance tire (for the price you pay, i think 130 a tire shipped at discounttiredirect) i can actually almost keep second gear floored (almost guys) and not roast my tires to shreds with these. Great tires IMHO. Hope this helps...
Oh and great in rain too!

SS/SC - Just bought the new Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Positions. Bought a lot of different tires over the years and just never pleased with a tire like I am with Bridgestones. Have not mouinted the tires yet as i'm getting a set of my stock rims powder coated.
I would have liked to try the Z1 Starspecs but they are not available in my size.

Ive had the nitto neogens and they were a good cheap sticky tire and they lasted about 18k miles. they did pretty good in the rain and the grip was nice but they were kinda noisy.. im running the falken 912's right now and they are a bit better than the nittos. quieter, better tread wear rating and they are garunteed for 30k miles i think if im not mistaken.. i think for the set of 225/40's i paid like 450 installed

i love my neogens, its very hard to break traction. good in rain, great on dry roads. my car gives out before the tires lol. at 460 shipped for a set you cant beat em. but im probably gonna go with hankook ventus v12 next time, just for better life out of em
