Eng pwr reduced

2010 ss lnf. recently retuned by zzp for intercooler and 3 bar map sensors.

ever since I got ecu back I get ENG PWR REDUCED every 5 - 20 mins while driving and usually while off throttle. NO CEL and no reduced power is noticed, car hauls.

upper map sensor plugs 99% of the way into harness but wont click into place, no bent pins and all looks good, im thinking it might be the issue but not sure.

zzp isnt being very helpful which is disappointing so any input is appreciated.

Can you use torque pro to watch the MAP sensor? The 3 bar sensors can be very finicky if not plugged in all the way. Car should throw a code for sure.

Start with the simple stuff.

First place to look is the stuff you touched last. It was working fine before. Double check everything that was touched when you worked on it. Tune could still be an issue.

And for the plug not clicking into place fully. Try using something to lube up the seal in the plugs.

so ive been away working but ive finally had some time to play with the car.

no boost leak or anything I can find wrong at all.

car still tosses error at 2800-4000 rpm when off throttle and hesitates when you get back on it for a second after, then all is fine, no codes nothing.

anyone have any ideas? im really thinking its the tune as this never ever happened before my last revision but ZZP says they only changed the emissions.

dont know what to do and want my car back to the way it was

First step would be to switch back to the old tune. It sounds like you did an ECU swap, so I don't know how hard that would be. Was it a stock tune before? If it was, find someone with HP tuners, export the current tune, and have a dealership reflash it. (or if ZZP could pull it off of the core you sent them.)

If it goes away, you know it was the tune. If it doesn't, continue troubleshooting.

Just to clarify, did you run it after the parts were installed, without the tune and it ran fine?

ecu was sent to zzp for flash and I have no access to hptuners.

car had a zzp tune before this all happened, I got reflashed for intake,3bar sensors and IC.

timeline of events..... stock car>zzp tune for catless dp>retune for intake, sensors and IC> retune again for emissions.

never had this issue at all until last flash.

zzp asking me to send in to reflash back to tune before emissions to see if it helps.

im confused cause I seem to be the only person in the world to ever get this error without a CEL or code and no effect in performance besides a little hesitation now and then

Could a sensor be DOA?

I know it's really common to have install issues with sensors.

funny you say that cause one of the sensors wont plug in all the way to harness.

it plugs 99% of the way but wont "click" if that makes sense

I mentioned this to zzp and they didnt seem to think its an issue
