I have a solution. You sell me your 6sp for $2.5K and have Tim/ZZP build you an one of trany?

From what I have heard they are quieter. My stock f35 was noisy and the ZZP f35 even louder.

I mean the actual gears. I have always noticed like a straight cut type sound when next to a wall or what not.

I was reading on some Saab forums a while back that increased mass flywheels help bring some of the gear noise down.

Cmiller, was that flywheel one you sourced on your own, or the ZZP dual mass offering?

Someday I will make the switch but not until I am first added more mods.
Todd your cooling is affected by the under car panels you have made and installed. nothing to do with the 4.45 trans. my opinion

That would be my guess however I did not have the engine panel on the car on this trip. Would the mid and rear panels resulted in the higher temp?

My 445 trans sounds good . Very little noise. I have a dual mass Flywheel clutch and pressure plate off a buick turbo and its the same as the Saab. Sachs I think. ZZP was not sure about the Buick F40 as an option for the swap. Its new on the parts shelf. Heavy as hell

I've been looking at it looks like we may have more options even yet.

The new GS mates to an ecotec as well claiming a new low friction gear box. I have been searching for an hour to bare light on the subject. I cannot find any information on the new 2014 6 speed.

It may be an even easier mate than the current f40 and is said to be rated even higher stock.

I wish mine didn't go this month

The Buick tranny will fit also. It's the gear ratios themselves that just won't be as good as the older saab units

Well I was talking the new 2014 model is totally different even yet according to the data sheet.

If the F40 only had a stock LSD lol .... People who got that group buy a while back from FMSR got a killer deal. Here is the one I am eyeballing. Also found a g85 4.05 lsj trans with 40k but for 1500. What a world .
