Nice numbers.

Dyno it again at 40,000 miles and see what you get

maxed out?! thats make me very saaaaaaaaad panda.. I'm sure you can get more out of it but not with that turbo.

-Jayson- 05-09-2008 09:21 AM

man thats kinda upseting really 26 PSI which is way over anything healthy for the engine or turbo and you only made 272WHP? The Torque is nice. But it looks like GM really limited this motor power wise. . .

Magill8 05-09-2008 01:20 PM

Genuine Saab FTMFW!

I got all my shit there lol.

Anyways, thats pretty good for just a tune. Any problems come out of it?

The fact is if you wanna push 300+whp. you need to swap out the turbo.

krispy 05-09-2008 02:41 PM

ok, now what you need to do is run with an open intake and open exhaust w/ the same tune and see what happens

need to see how restrictive they are, looks like from the boost pressure/torque that it is getting choked up

leasklikasieve 05-11-2008 09:28 PM

i used to get all my parts for my ng900 at g.s. very high quality products and Nick is awesome. it appears that little td04 is completely maxed out. im sure its lifespan wouldnt be to high at 26 psi either. but im glad to see 270+ whp and 320+ wtq. thats more then enough for me. once the turbo goes thats when i would upgrade.

i wonder if there are going to be fuel system limitations. i know on my mazdaspeed 6 as well as on the gti( both d.i. turbos) there are fuel limitations at/around the 300whp mark.

INDColtsFan18 05-11-2008 09:44 PM

Not to bad. I'm pretty impressed with the HHR SS's. They are pretty quick.

GULLABLE0NE 05-11-2008 10:17 PM

this is definitly a step in the right direction. 272 whp with just a tune. i can only imagine what Mr. Hahn is gonna do with this LNF/F35 setup!

InfinityzeN 05-11-2008 10:30 PM

Dear god your AFR is scary! You don't get into the 12's until after 5k rpm. And your boost is getting so high your going to be surging your turbo.

I'd get it retuned, cap the max boost at 23 or 24psi, have them richen it up at least into the high 11's, see what they could do to flatten out the torque curve and keep it from plummeting like a rock after 5k rpms.

Numbers are all well and good (and they are pretty nice), but you want to make them safely without blowing your turbo or engine bro.

krispy 05-11-2008 10:36 PM

don't forget that with DI you don't need to run as rich as you would w/ port fuel inj.

leasklikasieve 05-11-2008 10:57 PM

yeah. the guys running larger turbo's on the ms6... 3071r 3076r have their cars tuned at 12:1 a/f thats pretty good on a di car. however like you said. it hits 12:1 at a lower rpm. im wondering if it has to do w/ fuel capabilities.

InfinityzeN 05-11-2008 11:28 PM

He never hits 12:1 though. Best he gets is around 12.5:1 on one and 13:1 on the other. Even with a D/I thats high. Notice I said try to get it to 12:1 flat. If he had port, I would be suggesting 11:1.

krispy 05-12-2008 09:39 AM

Do these D/I setups have a fuel rail pressure gauge? If so that will make it pretty easy to diagnose fuel issues, you just look at commanded pressure vs. actual pressure to see if there are issues.

crazysteve 05-12-2008 09:43 AM

the AFR was with a tail sniffer...these cars have 2 cats for emissions...so pre cats the afr is much better.

schamsy 05-29-2008 10:25 AM

good numbers.... not my style though,
