GMS1 Stock 0-60
So the 15 PSI TC is supposed to do 5.7? and about 13.8-14.00 in 1/4
What does the 20 PSI TC GMSI run? 1/4 and 0-60? Ive never been able to find documentation of this... thanks for help.:cssNET: |
I ran a 13.71 @ 104 with my mods (that includes the GMS1).
And 0-60, my guess would be about 5.2 seconds if I could grab. Stock dyno: 238whp 241 wtq GMS1 dyno: 277whp 301 wtq |

My car got 13.8 at 107 In Tucson, AZ. About what 5,00 feet or so? All I had was a trifecta tune at the time. I was having traction issues. My 0-60 was probably about the same as JPizzle's.

HTP will do it in 4.8 sec. As far as the Qtr...it will probably be reduced the same as the 0-60 time. That would put GM1 around 13.3...for a WELL EXECUTED RUN. This is *BENCH* racing..but still a good indication, since it rules out DRIVER SKILL. |
Ronn I don't think a GMS1 will cut a 13.3 1/4 mile. If it was bolted a little then yea but with a stock airbox and exhaust the GMS1 won't hit a 13.3 ET. My car will hit a 1/4 in 13.8 at 107mph and at the time it was 22.5psi trifecta selectable and an airbox mod. I think with a great driver the GMS1 could probably cut a 13.5 ET. HP tunes and trifecta are better than GMS1 but they just aren't warrantied. Gotta pay to play sometimes guys. Thats just my .02 cents.

It could hit a 13.3 in negative DA on perfect track conditions. Keep in mind, one stock SS/TC did a 13.5 when the planets were aligned precisely at negative sea level conditions, while the moon was close enough to the earth to enhance gravitational conditions. ;)

Unless you're REALLY good at executing a 0-60, your'e not going to get the real indication of GM1. Using a *ricer* test which is 60-100 in third gear is the best comparison. A stock TC does it in around 8.5 sec....GM1 only (no bolt ons) is about a 1.3 faster at 7.2ish. HTP is around 6.4. This is done with a STOP watch while viewing the speedo. If you log it it will be quicker, since the speedo records a couple tenths SLOW. As far as 0-60....you can use the 60-90 time as a very good indication. These #s match very well with 0-60 capabilities.

I could cut a 13.65 on stock tune, I don't remember the trap speed. It got better with KDWs at 24 or so psi, I tried 21 psi for a while but meh. I don't think elevens are a good indicator of a car's capability.

I'm thinking it's more a traction issue than power. I've got 2 runs in with GMS1/open dp/drop in/"football mod" with a best of 13.39 @ 106.02 ; 2.224 60' on Bridgestone A/S's.
Practice and tires would yield better results. |

Practice and tires would yield better results. Also, FRQ FLYR, you had a catless and a drop in. I want to rock that football mod thought that would help until I can afford a 1500 dollar suspension. how much did it improve your 60' times? Mine were like 2.5 or .6 on stock tires with 24psi in them haha... I was running more pressure in my intake than in my tires, just thought of that.

^ Made 4 passes on stock tune/tires ; best 60' was 2.346 (14.15 @ 105.32)
Our local tracks future is uncertain and I don't get there often so I used the footballs to get the most out my setup/skill level. They def help as does the (open) dp. So yea I'm not exactly S1 only. Nice to know that this tune and a few supporting mods could probably approach 12's-tires/chains/f-balls would need to be part of the equation. |
