Hard to shift

So I'm having trouble with my shifter.. when going in and out of 2/4/reverse .. I have to put an unusual amount of strength to shift.. the top gears are ok though..

Did this happen to anyone else?

Probably adjust ur shifter cables. Also check you linkage roll pin. They are known for wearing and bending, centrally leading to a break

Thanks for the info,

My links were adjusted recently.. So i'll check that other thing

You think that is part of the drivetrain warranty?..

I don't know if it is common or not, but mine was broken where it hooks in the bracket cause hard 2/4/R shifts, just a place to check

I had a shifter problem where the shifter would actually pop out of the cable clamp. Stupid stock plastic one... :|

TWM has an aluminum cable clamp that people claim works really well.

UPDATE: so it seems my cables were seized solid... so much that the tech at GM spent the whole day yesterday on my car and finally gave up trying to adjust them.. they're changing the whole shifter! LOL

I'm happy they are warranty'ing this or it would have cost a fortune.

Seems my car sleeping in a heated garage in the winter is really bad for it..
