Hit a high curb parking by accident. Didn’t think I hit it that hard. When I went back to start my car after I parked it wouldn’t start. Finally started. Wouldn’t boost. CEL came on. Reduced power mode came on. Now it starts but idles horeibly. 500-1500 bouncing. Almost dies. Keeps going. A lot of black fluid coming out of my exhaust. Check engine codes say mass airflow sensor. I cleaned it and cleared the codes and it does the same thing. Did I crack my intercooler?

If it's stock then yes that's a possibility. It would eliminate boost. Can you hear the turbo more, or a louder airflow sound like a quiet leaf blower?

When it was running it boosts like it’s trying but sits at 0psi and just does the recirculating sound.

All I see is a dent. No visible cracking at all. Ooo catch on the bottom is bowed a little and there’s a dent on the left side.

If its factory and you dented it there is a good chance you ripped the condensate bar off and/or broke the plastic end tanks

It doesn't take a very well placed hit on the factory intercooler to crack it. Many raccoons have done the job over the years.

Yup Definitly sounds like a cracked intercooler end tank or the condensation thingy or both

I bottomed out once coming down a really steep driveway and lost almost all power. At the time, I had zero knowledge of cars and took it to the dealer haha. It took them almost a month to figure out there was a hole in one of the plastic end tanks. Of course, after "fixing it" and me trying to drive it with the same issues that is...oh and my bill was over $1000 after them ******* around with it and installing a new factory intercooler. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made taking it there but hey, we all learn someday

A grand to install an intercooler? No doubt that was overpriced by 10000% dealers are ripoffs. I'm almost tempted to start pretending I have issues to see how much they would charge and make videos on how much it should actually cost

well, thats not all that outrageous. the intercooler on crate engine depot is regular priced at $450. its gonna be at least a couple hours of labor to install it, im sure at least $100/hr. add in diagnostic labor, it gets up there quick.
