09 cobalt issues after turbo install
Got a issue maybe you can figure out . 2009 chevy cobalt ss turbo . Turbo blew on the car , bought a new stock turbo to throw in I paid a guy to do the install of the new turbo guy never disconnected the battery . He finishes the install start the car up and it’s missfiring in cylinder 4 showing 2 cam sensor codes and map sensor code . Didn’t have these issues before . Could he have grounded out and messed up the alternator and that has fried my sensors and is what’s causing my problems . Changed spark plugs , changed oil , it’s not the coils packs did a compression test and they were all good . Not sure what else to think or where to look

Update
Just started car to check codes , cleared previous codes and came back with
P0010 cam position actuator circuit/open
,p0107 manifold absolute pressure
,p0343 cam position sensor a circuit high
p0368 cam position sensor b circuit high

I don't think your going to hear what you want here. It sounds like you want to use the forum to go after the person that did the repairs. Yes, removing the ground of the battery is the first step of every under hood repair but the alternator cannot hurt sensors. Each processor is regulated and as for input sensors they operate off of 5.0v. Sensors do not operate off of battery voltage. Removing the ground protects against the shorting to ground of wiring that is live at all times, like the alternator battery terminal. That isn't near the turbo.

i agree with HGT. Let's focus on getting your car running, whether the guy that installed your turbo is willing to help with the troubleshooting or not, figure out how to fix the car first. Like I answered in your other thread, check the harness first, track the wires from the sensor all the way to the ECM . Then check grounds and 5v supplies to the sensors. Then find a way to troubleshoot the ECM and the engines timing and cam sensors .
