Kmo43 2016

Well spring is almost here so I tore my car apart and started adding a couple parts. Last year after my dyno I added a Turbosmart actuator so I could run more than 28psi also a ported head with Supertech springs. I found a place that will deliver a barrel of E so I'll be jumping on that in April. My plan is to DD E35 and my meth. Kill tune will be between E47 and E70 depending on what I can get from my fuel system. HP goals are going to be shared on the dyno thread after they happen. With my current setup and E I will be able to run past the stock bottom end limits so I will be tuning on the dyno to achieve a specific number. I also wanted the new ZZP coil packs but they were out of stock so next order I'll get them and a set of Opels. I will also be doing a bunch of suspension work to aid in traction so I'll be posting those and a how to soon.

Well here's my first purchase of the season.

A set of ZZP Stg2 cams and new phasers since mine no longer fall the parked position.

On tear down I found I broke a lifter which is no big deal since I have a full other set but also the Stg2s come with their own. While the valve cover was off I retorqued the head studs.

I will be posting vids very soon here and borrowed Jon's GoPro so the vids should be nicer and not so shaky

Well living in I wanted to wit to spend cash until I knew the roads would be clear. I forgot to mention I may be hitting the dyno in a couple weeks for kicks. I won't be shooting for my HP goal I have this year I'll just get it into the 5s

So were the headstuds actually needing to be retorqued, or were you just checking for good measure?

I wanted to check since I'm turning up the power and they actually were a bit loose

I'll be running a set of air bags so i can basically lockout the rear suspension at the track but it can still be street driven with no issues. I plan on hitting up the 1/2 mile more than the 1/4 here too. See what kind of trap speeds I can hit

I took yesterday off because i had to grab a timing guide but this is the 4th time I've done work like this to a balt so it's pretty easy. Just taking a break to eat should only have an hour or so left to do

Yes I do!! Last 2 years I've done a big build on a balt that required pulling the engine. This year it'll be mine I pull.
