LNF no speak P0335. HELP!
LNF no speak P0335. HELP!
Hey guys, I am reaching out to you regarding some issues I am having with my 08’ Cobalt ss. The car is having no spark/RPM pickup due to a P0335 “Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - circuit malfunction”. The car turns over great, but just keeps cranking and has no RPM pickup at all. Along with the crankshaft code there is a cruise control brake switch A circuit malfunction and an unrelated temp sensor issue. I have tried everything you can imagine to figure out what’s causing this issue. Only leads I have found is when I unplug both my cam sensors the crankshaft code goes away. I have obviously replaced cam sensors and crank sensor/pigtail + I’ve changed my ECU fuse box wiring harness all out of a running car. I’ve checked my timing, compression tested, just about done everything I can think of.
This car is a big turbo build, the engine is fresh, turbo and exhaust haven’t even been heat cycled once. I bought the car cheap off a guy that had no clue what happened besides “it was misfiring really bad so it needs an engine” he spent a ton of money on new parts and at some point after passing the car through his friends he decided to sell it. Obviously a misfire doesn’t directly correlate to a failed engine, therefore I am still chasing this weird issue. The car has an AC delete aswell along with a boost controller tied into the stock harness, I’m not sure if either of these things can cause issues but I thought I would mention them.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated lol I am feeling defeated on this car.
Thanks,
Sean
