Cause it a basically a tuner car. Over engender engineer a little knowing people will push the cars well past what they came with. That's what my thinking would be. And I believe it was theirs as well on the lnf

They did over engineer them, car is rated at 260whp, they can handle around 390-400whp that's a factor of 1.5, normally if you get a factor of 1.2 it's considered generous.

To take these cars from 260 motor hp and add 1/2 again as much hp and they live is saying something.

For an engineer it's called factor of safety. If you want to build a car that has a 100k mile warranty, you have to build it to a factor of safety as close to 2.0 as possible. Seems to me GM did a great job of that.

thats what im saying. GM did that already without forged pistons.

People also dont realize that forged pistons dont mean the car is bulletproof. They burn more oil, causing more emissions...and they cost a considerable amount compared to hyperuetic pistons.

OP here. Thanks for all the info and everything. I appreciate all the feed back. Yes I'm wanting to do the build good. Obviously it won't last forever but I figured there's no need to be cheap and do it wrong if I want the car to last me atleast a year or two with the setup I'm gonna do. Still haven't made up my mind if I wanna do all the internals and big spending on the LNF or just buy the ldk outright, slap it in there and run it with the basic bolt on I have already (dp,intake, intercooler, intercooler piping and turbosmart dual port. Either way It will be a fun first build and experience.

What is that cable with the ZZP DP? Some kind of voltage manipulator to make it look like the cats are functioning properly while they are flowing more than expected?

I don't think it's that complicated, I believe it's just an extension because the cat is located where the stock secondary O2 sensor would go.
